Overview:

VectorBuilder currently has exciting opportunities for a Shipping Assistant position in our Chicago office location. In this position you will be assisting both our Logistics Coordinator and Operations Manager with basic shipping and office related needs. This position is not eligible for remote work.

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail, planning skills and organizing skills
• High self-motivation and ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Gmail
• Excellent time management and problem solving skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work
• Basic computer skills in general to be able to email, scan, etc. when needed
• Experience with air waybills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Open to working a rotating Monday-Saturday shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist package preparation (ambient and dry ice) and shipment relay
• Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Maintain the office stockroom through organizing, cleaning and updating inventories as necessary
• Help resolve shipping issues and address internal/external inquiries that arise
• Process claims for lost or damaged product through carrier fault.
• Provide quality customer service through support before and after purchasing products.
• Sign for delivered packages and distribute them to the appropriate recipient
• Assist with office management duties, including maintenance, mailing, supplies, equipment, errands, procurement, organizing etc.
• Proficient in basic clerical duties including but not limited to photocopying, scanning, document mailing, filing correspondence, emailing customers and answering calls
• Perform additional duties when required, to keep the office running smoothly

Chicago, IL 60609: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Salary: $15.80-$21 per hour
