At VectorBuilder, we are always looking to strengthen our organization by adding the best available talent to our growing team. We are seeking a driven Science Political Writer to participate in the development of world-class services and products to expand our portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with the CEO/Chief Scientist to generate content suitable for publication.
• Communicate the CEO's brand to a broad audience, including promoting new ideas outside of traditional VectorBuilder services.
• Being an excellent sounding board and assisting in brainstorming sessions to further develop ideas into actionable projects.
• Attend meetings and taking part in conference calls regularly.
• Areas of writing include both politics and life sciences.
• Producing articles for publication in print and online.
• Write articles, blogs, and essays.
• Maintain editorial calendar and publish content in a timely manner.
• Express scientific and political concepts into accessible and engaging content for targeted audiences.
• Demonstrate exceptional written, analytical, and verbal communication skills, with extensive knowledge of English grammar.
• Related duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in the field of biology, political science, and/or journalism.
• A scientific degree is not required though there needs to be the aptitude to learn basic scientific concepts overtime.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a science or political writer, preferably in life sciences and/or politics.
• Drive and passion for life sciences and politics.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills.
• Familiarity with what makes articles compelling to an online audience.
• Ability for relocation or to travel to Guangzhou several times annually.
